The holiday season is always a good time to get back to those pending readings and start new challenges. However, the distractions are many and it is difficult to maintain the discipline of taking time to read.
Communities such as the Stoa Madrid can be very useful for keeping track and pushing each other to progress in our goals.
Starting on July 27th, we will meet via Zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. to read together (out loud or in silence). The activity is a friendly global get-together to read together twice a week for 45 minutes, silently or aloud, via Zoom. The goal is to create/strengthten the habit of reading, through a group appointment that motivates us to progress in this book during the month of August.
On monday 27th and wednesday 29th we will do a wrap-up session of Massimo Pigliucci’s book “How to be Stoic”, which we have been reading at the Stoa’s Reading Club. Then, on august 3rd we will start reading Pierre Hadot’s Manual for the Happy Life.
This is the link to register for the reading activity: https://www.stoamadrid.es/producto/club-de-lectura-en-verano-operacion-lectura-estoica-colectiva/
Once registered, it gives you the option to download the invitation to Zoom. Then, I will include you in the WhatsApp group where it will be easier to coordinate.
See you soon!
